17th July.

So, as you may have guessed this is a blog about the 17th July. The 17th July was supposed to be the last day of school but by some crazy change of my luck, turns out we got the day off for being 'a good school'.

Anyway, there is a point to this blog and that is to have a moan about something that I got so hyped up for and then was severely disappointed about. Take a guess... Yes, it's that bloody Harry Potter! Me and Laura walked all the way down to the cinema [with me practically skipping down the road], we'd even pre-booked tickets and I think I may have bought my own lunch hidden in a bag and then...

The film was complete crap. I'd heard stories about how crap it was but I refused to believe them. Oh, how wrong I was. It was just boring. They didn't stick to the actual IMPORTANT part of the plot; the horcruxes and Voldemort didn't even make an appearance even though he somehow managed to pop up in the advert. It was basically just the Ron and Hermione show. Oh, and then Harry stalking Malfoy which he does do in the book but it's a lot more interesting in that. It was just a bit all over the place. I don't think there was a scene that actually lasted more than a minute.

And here comes the most insulting part: they completely cut out the battle at the end. That scene was there for a reason! You can't just cut it out. They basically tried to make it as funny as they could and soften all the violence which is a vital part of the last few books. The whole point of the sixth book is to explain everything about the seventh and start building up to the ending of the whole series. FAIL!

On the plus side the actor that plays Dumbledore had finally convinced me he was right for the part and then he went and died. Speaking of the acting, the girl that plays Ginny is completely wrong for the part.

Anyway that's my rant about Harry Potter over. Later that day, we went down to Rochester Castle to go to a McFly gig and they were really good. I didn't even care that it rained. That was a really fun evening.
